As famous for his life as a recluse as he is for his novel The Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Salinger has died at his home at the age of 91.
To remember this writer who changed American literature and youth culture since the publication of Catcher in 1951, you should dig out your old copy. Or better yet, go to one of the wonderful local bookshops such as The Book Nook in Marietta or Once and Again in Roswell.
